BUILDOMETRY
When I started working with Buildometry in March 2023, their social media presence was still in its early stages, with fewer than 100 followers on both Instagram and TikTok.
Within my first three months, both platforms had grown to more than 30K followers. By March 2024, Instagram had surpassed 60K followers and TikTok had grown to more than 40K.
That growth came from much more than simply posting consistently. I built and managed the social media strategy, created content from the ground up, filmed completed patios and outdoor living spaces, edited short form videos, wrote captions, created graphics and promotional materials, and stayed closely connected to current social media trends and platform changes.
A big part of my role was learning how to turn the work Buildometry was already doing into content people wanted to stop and watch. Every completed project became an opportunity to showcase craftsmanship, transformations, products, design details, and the people behind the business. I developed content around everything from project reveals and before and afters to educational content, trending videos, product features, and behind the scenes moments.
I also worked extensively in Canva to create flyers, sales presentations, graphics, and other branded materials, making sure the visual identity remained consistent across the company’s digital presence.
Buildometry taught me how powerful social media can be when you combine creativity with an actual strategy. It gave me the opportunity to take a business with almost no social presence and build a recognizable audience around the work they were already doing.
More than anything, this is where I really learned that good social media doesn’t have to feel like advertising. It should make people stop, understand the business, see the value in what they do, and remember them.
This experience is a huge part of what shaped the way I approach social media today: take what makes a business good in real life and make sure it comes through online.
